What mattered

Welcome to the first issue of ESPODIUM Monthly. Once a month we will look back at what happened on the platform: who won, who climbed, what everyone picked and what we changed. September is where it starts.

It was a Magic Chess month. Three tournaments finished, 82 matches were played and 237 players took part. Cold won the III MCGG 1x1 Tournament, Cassiel took the Little Ring Flash Tournament, and Px. LYON won Improvise on Brody after finishing runner-up to Cold. Ling was the commander of the month with 32 of the 77 picks, though Brody players reached the top four more often.

When September closed, Nhoktigame led the solo ladder on 1,455 and Ridzzz. led the team ladder on 1,563.

121 new players joined us. In the last two days of the month e-certificates went live, and 2,062 were issued, so every player now has proof of where they finished. We also shipped 87 releases, including better tools for organisers and their members.

October is bigger. MCPL Season 2 starts on 12 October, and Vega Campus Legends opens on 18 October across Valorant, MLBB, PUBG Mobile, Tekken 8 and eFootball. See you there.
