Looking for a team or recruiting? Set your status on ESPODIUM

Teams on ESPODIUM can now show that they are recruiting, and say what for: players, a coach or an analyst. Players can switch on Looking for team for each game they play. Both appear first in the Teams and Players lists, so the people who want to be found are the first ones others see.

Both are off by default. Nothing changes for your team or profile until you switch them on.

What each status does

For players: switch on Looking for team

  1. Sign in and open Profile from the menu.
  2. Go to the Game tab and pick the game you want a team in.
  3. Switch on Looking for team, under your IGN and account details.
  4. Press Save changes.

Your photo now has a green ring with a Looking for team tag in that game's Players list and on your player page for that game. On your CV page (espodium.com/p/your-handle), a green band under your photo names every game you are looking in.

The switch is per game on purpose. Teams belong to one game, so if you want a Mobile Legends team but you are happy with your Magic Chess squad, only switch it on for Mobile Legends. Players in the Magic Chess list will not see you as available.

When you join a team, switch it off again so captains are not messaging you for nothing.

For teams: show that you are recruiting

  1. Sign in as the team's owner or co-owner and open Profile.
  2. Go to the Team tab.
  3. Under Recruiting, tap each role you are looking for: Players, Coach, Analyst. Tap a role again to remove it.
  4. Press Save changes.

Your team card in the Teams list and your team page now show a green badge, for example Recruiting: Players, Analyst. Recruiting teams appear before the others in the Teams list, whichever sort is chosen. Within the recruiting group, the usual order applies (team strength, or newest first).

When the spots are filled, untick every role and save. The badge disappears and the team goes back to its normal place in the list.

Finding each other

As a team looking for players, open the Players list for your game. Players with the green ring are the ones looking. Open a player to see their IGN, account ID and tournament history before you reach out.

As a player looking for a team, open the Teams list for your game. Recruiting teams are at the top, with their badge saying whether they want players, a coach or an analyst. The team page shows the roster and the team's record.

Contact details stay members-only. Sign in to see a player's or team's WhatsApp button, and keep your own contact details up to date in Profile so a team can reach you.

Why the order changed

Before this, a team that needed a fifth player had no way to say so on ESPODIUM, and a free agent looked the same as someone with a settled squad. The lists are sorted by strength, which pushes new players and new teams down, often onto page two or three where nobody looks. Putting the people who asked to be found first fixes that without changing anything for those who did not.

Next steps

  • Looking for a team? Switch it on in Profile, Game tab, then browse the Teams list.
  • Recruiting? Pick your roles in Profile, Team tab, then browse the Players list.
  • Make sure your game profile has the right account ID and server, so a team can check your history.
